Accessibility
Interface zoom, reduced motion, the whole IDE from the keyboard and announcements for screen readers.
Yuli can be used entirely from the keyboard and with a screen reader, and it adapts to your eyesight and your sensitivity to motion.
Settings
In Global options (Ctrl+Alt+S) → Appearance, Accessibility section:
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Interface zoom | From 80 % to 200 %: 80, 90, 100, 110, 125, 150, 175 and 200 %. |
| Reduce motion | Match system, Always reduced or Normal animations. |
Reduce motion also has a command to turn it on or off; find it with Ctrl+Shift+A.

| Zoom in | Ctrl+= (also Ctrl+Shift+=) |
⌘= (also ⌘⇧=) |

⌘0 |
Everything from the keyboard
| To | Do |
|---|---|

| Go to the previous region | Ctrl+Shift+F6 |
| Move through toolbars and tabs | Arrow keys; Home and End jump to the ends |
| Close a dialog | Esc: focus returns to where it was |
- While a dialog is open, focus stays inside it.
- The Skip to the editor and Skip to the chat links take focus straight to those areas.
- Icon-only buttons have an accessible name.
Inside the editor, Ctrl+F6 is also Refactor: change signature. If you use one of them a lot, rebind it in Keyboard shortcuts.
Screen readers
The screen reader announces what the agent is doing without you having to go to the chat:
| When | Announcement |
|---|---|
| The agent is working | “Yuli is working” |
| The agent needs an answer | “Yuli needs your answer” |
| The agent finishes | “Yuli replied: …”, with the start of the reply |
Performance
Help → Startup performance… shows how long each startup phase took. Each release is also checked in continuous integration against budgets for startup time and for the size of the code it loads.
